As anyone following the recent news will know, there has been some terrible news coming out of Belfast recently, as violence has reared its ugly head once again. You wouldn’t think, given the serious and ongoing nature of the disturbances we would hear something from NI Secretary of State Theresa Villiers.
Her only House of Commons appearance has been at scheduled Northern Ireland questions.
There has been nothing in the media either:
Not surprisingly, the opposition are sensing a political advantage and trying to get Villiers to the despatch box:
I have called on the Secretary of State to make an urgent statement to the House of Commons about ongoing violence in Northern Ireland.

It’s less NIO, more MIA.
