The Social Liberal Forum, unsurprisingly, don’t seem to like competition.
The arrival of a new membership organisation within the Liberal Democrats seems to have upset them, but today the co-chair of the SLF rather over egged it:
The rather daft comment was referring to a poster for an LR event happening at the upcoming Lib Dem Conference:

Former Government Special Advisor Olly Grender has kindly agreed to chair the fringe event. I am involved in Liberal Reform, and sadly Olly hasn’t had a chance to get much more involved than that thus far. I hope she knows the invitation is always open!
However, if we want to play the “your fringe panellists are the face of your organisation” game, we should probably look at recent SLF fringes, as publicised on their website:
It would appear that Mark-don’t-cut-anything-Serwotka is the face of the SLF, especially as his union ‘supported’ the event.
